At our last Sports Boosters meeting, this letter from Coach Kerkman was read to our members, thanking us for our support. Actually we should be the ones thanking him for his 53 years of coaching, with 39 years as our head coach! 

Shortly after our last meeting, Coach Kerkman announced his retirement. Coach Kerkman completes his career with the Blackhawks with a record of 805-313, with a state title in 2000. His teams have also won 13 sectional titles and 24 regional championships.

Words are not enough to thank Coach Kerkman, who has influenced the lives of so many student-athletes, staff, alumni and fans over the years. The Blackhawk community wishes you well in your retirement!
