Winter Sports Update

January 31, 2016

This has been a very exciting winter sports season so far!

Our wrestling team has had a very successful season so far! They are the 2016 Upstate Eight Valley Division champions, and came in 3rd place in the entire conference.
First places to Erik Olson (145-2nd conference title), Alex Gonzalez (160) and Devon Moore (285).
Second places to Alex Roldan (132), Josh Mayhew (195).
Third places to Xavier Bijarro (113) and Joe Griffin (170)
Fourth place to Cory Bunnetto (138) and 5th place to Nick Spagnola (152)

Our JV-1 team took 2nd place in the Upstate Eight conference, and the Freshman are the UEC champions this year.

The Regional tournament is Saturday 2/6 at Batavia High School starting at 9 AM. Come support your wrestlers!

Girls bowling is burning up the lanes this season! #BoomShakaLaka

Varsity has taken first place in both the Morris Invitational and the Minooka Invitational. Corey McCreedy was the individual champion in the Minooka Invite.

Peyton Kuhns bowled her first 300 game during practice after our win against Elgin!

Our JV bowlers took first place at the conference placement competition and our Varsity bowlers compete for their conference placement on Tuesday February 2nd. Good luck girls!!!

Boys Basketball has kept us on the edge of our seats!

Our boys defeated East Aurora in a 58-57 win. Junior Caleb Siler nailed the winning shot at the end of the game to give our Blackhawks the victory.

Join our basketball team for their Senior Night celebration on Friday February 19 at 7:00 against Glenbard East. Go Blackhawks!!

Girls Basketball keeps the ball moving!

Our girls basketball team just lost a heartbreaker to East Aurora 41-47 after defeating them earlier in the season 66-49. Join our girls for their Senior Night celebration on Tuesday February 2nd, and as they enter the regional competition starting on February 15. Good luck girls!

Boys Swimming and Diving makes a big splash!

Congratulations to our boys swimming & diving team as they took 1st place at the IMSA Invite! They continue their season with the Upstate Eight conference meet this Saturday February 6th at St. Charles East. Diving begins at 9:00 AM and swimming begins at 1:00 PM. Their sectional meet is at Metea Valley on February 20 starting at 1:00 PM.
